What started as a home-based hobby—making birthday and baby shower cakes for close friends and family—quickly became a true calling. In 2022, she and her husband purchased Sweetland Cakery with a vision to turn her passion into a full-time business serving the Houston community.
A perfectionist at heart, Jodi is known for her artistic flair, attention to detail, and warm, personal approach. She’s a loving wife, a proud mother and “Mawmaw,” and a Houston cake artist who believes every celebration deserves a show-stopping centerpiece. Her goal is simple: to be one of the most trusted and talented cake designers in Houston, one delicious creation at a time.

With over five years of experience in the world of cake decorating — including time at the H-E-B bakery — Veronica brings precision, creativity, and a keen eye for detail to every project. Like Jodi, she’s a perfectionist, committed to making each dessert look just as stunning as it tastes. When she’s not designing cakes, Veronica works as a professional model, blending artistry and style in everything she does. She’s an essential part of the Sweetland Cakery team and plays a key role in bringing every client’s vision to life.
